Fuzzy and I gave each other the knowing look while drying Chubbs after his bath. Neither of us want to be the first to admit that maybe Sunshine is not such a good idea aferall.
I don't know why websites suggest that we use baths to relax baby before bed. We even use lavender-scented bath wash, that is clinically proven to put baby in a zzz state. Errr... bath time is still like war for us every night because Chubbs treats it as play. I cannot think of enough action words to describe what Chubbs does when he's in the bath. He goes "Running Man"ing (i.e. kicking superfast, non-stop when sitting down- sometimes through the whole 10-min), he slams his arms in the water, tries to flip over, grabs his feet to stuff in his mouth etc. The water level is at least half of what it was when we put him in the tub. And all this is just on a regular day. Now with Sunshine as company, the situation is outta control.
Chubbs has been causing some major tidal waves the past few nights, and Fuzzy almost lost grip of him many times. We've had to bail water out mid-way to limit the extent of displacement. He managed to thoroughly soak two floor rugs, my shirt and Fuzzy's shirt, shorts and glasses last night. I had dried Chubbs' hair before washing the rest of his body, but his hair and face were dripping wet by the time the bath was over. One thing's for sure, Chubbs is a water baby (just like mommy).
He rather likes Sunshine and I'd hate to have to evict the little fella. We'll have to come up with something else. Fuzzy jests that we might need to invest in a wetsuit, apron or similar contraption to stay dry. I might actually consider taking him up on it.
