A Very Happy Day

Today was a special day. We had promised to bring Chubbs for a train ride since a week ago, and we finally took him to the airport, where he could ride the Skytrain, look at aeroplanes, watch cool glass lifts go up and down, and have limitless area to run around in air-conditioned comfort.

Preparing to leave the house.

Wearing Daddy's shoes.

We had lunch at NUSS' Guild House pool cafe first, and let me just say that we have not had such a bad meal in a long time despite ordering what we thought were safe bets. The pizza was made from a frozen crust, the burger pattie was charred on the outside and completely dried out on the inside, and there were funny bits of plastic/ bone/ hard bits in every bite. Had to spit most of it out. Plus, we suspect that the lobster bisque was what gave Fuzzy a really bad stomach afterwards.

Munching on a very tasteless bread-stick. He loved it, nonetheless.

Looking on as the lifts go up and down, and waving to the passengers.

Checking out planes at the viewing gallery.

Just before we headed home, we had dinner at Sakae Sushi for the first time with Chubbs. Fuzzy and I used to have conveyor sushi for our lunch dates all the time while I was still working :) Anyhow, Chubbs loves Japanese food, and he had an order of soba and two bowls of his new fave, chawanmushi (he calls it "mushi"), plus an omelette that I brought from home. Japanese food rocks!

Tired and ready for home after a long day out with no nap.

Pointing out trains on the other track on our ride back to the car.

He was a very good boy, and held on tight when we asked him to.

Chubbs was so thrilled today, that he had happy dreams too. I caught him laughing out loud many times in his sleep. It was magical and priceless.
