Days at SAM

We love the Children's Art Garden at SAM, and decided to bring Chubbs before the school hols are over. Had a lovely sushi dinner at Itacho at Plaza Singapura before taking the train to the museum. We tried to buy a ticket for Chubbs, but the passenger service station there did not sell concession tickets?!?! So the attendant allowed Chubbs could pass through for free, even though he was way past 90cm tall.

Trying to impress the poster girl with his muscles.

Walter and Chubbs.

We felt that this year's exhibits were a lot more interactive than last year's. Here were some of the highlights.

Colouring a picture of Walter and decorating with stencils.

Proud of their joint effort.

In the super colourful room with Mommy; where he could move the stools to match the colours on the ground. But could not get him to face the camera, no matter what.

"Trees" full of animals and figurines. The kids were allowed to further decorate them.

Easily his favourite room. There were train tracks all over the ceiling and walls. Plus construction vehicles and animals scattered everywhere. We were in here for so long; could not tear him away from this room. He kept running back in.

My son is camouflaged.

Creating Superboy at the dress-up exhibit.

Holding his arm out like an elephant's trunk.

It was such a fun family outing that we repeated everything the very next week. Dinner at Itacho, then MRT ride, and museum.

Finally got a concession card for him and he could tap and go!

Using light from the torch to activate the flowers.

He coloured an elephant this week.

He even managed to catch a great film about the friendship and adventures between a penguin and a young boy at the Video Art section this time. It was a great night out, and I'm already planning a third trip.
